I’ve written about travel, leisure, food, drinks, television, film, music, theatre, art, books, and more. As a copywriter and journalist, I’ve published well over one thousand features to date, having interviewed the likes of Grammy-winning musicians, multinational CEOs, and other leaders in their respective fields. I was also the creator and host of the award-winning Cape Town Travel Guide podcast (no longer active given that I don’t live there anymore!), which gave listeners access to the best new experiences from one of the greatest cities in the world.

I studied piano for eight years in school and four years in university, graduating with distinctions from the South African College of Music and in my final UNISA exam. I won a Silver Award (Special Merit for Online Innovation) at South Africa’s Arts Journalist of the Year in 2014. I also served a six-year term as a judge for the Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards and have seen almost one thousand theatre and concert performances since beginning my journalism career.

I was one of the first winners of Eat Out’s review of the month competition in 2014 and received a distinction (84%) for my Cape Wine Ambassador course from the Topaz Wine Company in 2015. I now review restaurants and promote wine and other drinks brands through my social media channels.

I received a distinction for my Diploma in Photography from the Shaw Academy in 2015 (followed by the same for another photography specialisation in 2022) and won the annual IFWTWA Excellence in Journalism Award in 2017. I currently work with destination marketers, global airlines, hospitality providers, tourism boards, and travel conferences to promote locations and experiences around the world.
