March 2019: 6 stories in 2 publications

From picnics to profiles, there’s a lot to discover this month!

This month’s Cape Town Travel Guide features plenty of foodie treats, including the best picnics in the Western Cape, the best waffles and desserts, and the best rooftop bars and restaurants with views.

After sipping on one of the best drinks for March, travel news takes us on a West Coast road trip while business news features a story about Zawadisha, a company on a mission to empower Kenyan women with microloans.

My favourite stories from other writers include profiles on Homaro Cantu (the genius chef who wanted to change the world), Marlon James (the author writing an African ‘Game of Thrones’), and Henry Worsley (the adventurer who journeyed across Antarctica by himself).

If you have a big dream, take advice from Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway:

“At the bottom of every one of your fears is simply the fear that you can’t handle whatever life may bring you. If you knew you could handle anything that came your way, what would you possibly have to fear? The answer is: nothing.”

Don’t be afraid to take the first step!
